Whelp! I am offically 5 hours away from finishing my hospital preceptorship! It has been an exhausting month and I am so relieved to have it over with. Though it's been tough trying to juggle a job, my preceptorship and homework...my preceptorship was amazing and worth every hour of stress! My confidence has sky rocketed and I actually feel like a real RN. It's amazing:) But anyways...when I get out of the hospital at 6am I'm going home and sleeping for a week straight! Ha! I am worn out!

So, Christmas Eve is tomorrow and Megan and I still don't have presents for anyone. This is crazy...actually I'm ahead of schedule from last year! Last year I shopped on Christmas Eve!

This morning I took Dex on a run...and died! I haven't ran/swam in over 2 months. That is so horrible! I already got in trouble for not using the swimming pass he bought me...so it'll have to be a new years resolution and I'll get my butt in the pool! Anyways, we were trying to beat his best time of 14:22.00 for 1.5 miles...and since I didn't really know the loop, Dex cut corners and we got a record time! I was so mad! Now we have to do it again tomorrow! Dang...that's probably good for me though!

Tonight we went to the play "Scrooge" in Sacramento! It was so awesome! Dex was so into it it was adorable! After the play we went back to my grandma's for hot chocolate! :) yumm:) I'm so tired and I have to wake up early to buy Christmas presents for my family! I'm such a procrastinator!

Today I decided to stay in bed until noon. I have the hardest time getting out of bed when I'm at home! Sadly enough, I have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning at 10am...which will force me out of bed! At around 3:30 Megan and I decided to drive down to Sacramento to go to our favorite jewelery store "Silver Shop". I always feel overwhelmed in there because of the thousands of rings on display! After searching for over an hour we picked some out! Megan and I randomly discovered this little store 2 years ago and have been regular customers since!

One thing I really hate about Folsom is the TRAFFIC! It is horrible!! I always have Megan drive because it stresses me out so much...and I always get lost. She has the most amazing since of direction! I wish I had that gift! Driving stresses me out so much. My future car will definitely have a GPS!

After buying rings we went to Target in Sunrise...very getto. We looked for presents for people but ended up buying ourselves things! I have a huge problem with that! I will go to a store with the goal of buying someone a gift and walk out with something new for myself! I only have 2 more days to buy presents! Luckily I can get friends presents after Christmas! That makes it less stressful!

This morning Jessica and I met at Starbucks to catch up. It was so much fun because I haven't seen her in a year! It's funny how swimming ties everyone together. The only people that I still talk to from highschool are friends that I swam with either on the Sierra Marlins or Folsom High School Swim Team.

Dex is so funny. His little comments sometimes drive my parents crazy but Megan and I just laugh :) We had fun with the webcam! He is the happiest little kid I've ever seen!

Later on, Megan squished her fingers in the sliding glass door :( that hurts so bad! I did that when I was in High School! Owwie! Once she iced her fingers for a little bit, we drove to Sunrise and took Dex to Target so he could tell us what he wanted. After looking at every single Star Wars toy in the store we finally left! Tonight Megan, Nicole, Eric and me are going to BJ's for dessert. I need to stop eating so much desserts! I will have to go running tomorrow!!! :)

Wow I haven't written in a long time! I am currently in Folsom, CA...flew home yesterday and will be here until the 2nd. I finished finals a week ago and got pretty good grades! The week after finals I worked 3 nights in a row, which KILLED me! It has been really cold in Richfield lately! The low was -8...which is sick. I expected it to be warm in Cali I guess, so I didn't pack warm at all...it's been freezing today and started raining! Soooo that means that Utah is going to get slammed!

Yesterday Megan, Dex, Mom & Dad and I went to BJ's. YUM! We ate so much and went home feeling sick and very satisfied.

Yesterday Dex kept talking about a girl named Tiffany...so we told him to write her a letter! After church today I drove Dex over to her house to give her the letter. Before we left, I opened the envelope to read the letter haha. It was soooo cute! It said something like, "Tiffany you are so beautiful and your voice is so lovely..." It was so sweet! Adults should learn from little kids! Girls love being complimented...

We're going to my grandma's house for diner in a little bit. Should be fun =)

It's so weird not having Dallin here right now! He's at a swim meet in Long Beach right now. He just barely got back from Nationals, which was in Seattle. Here are a few relay pics from that meet! I wish I could've been there! In August we're all meeting in Irvine, California to watch my brother swim Nationals (and Michael Phelps too!).

Last weekend I got the oppertunity to do clinicals at Dixie Regional Medical Center, which is a nationally known trauma and cancer center! It was amazing! I worked in the Cardiovascular Unit for 2 days and then got the oppertunity to do Labor & Delivery on the last day! I'm going to laugh if I end up being a L&D nurse. My nurse was awesome though, and let me do everything! I got to feel a complete 10cm cervix! I try not to cry when the baby is finally pushed out...but it always seems to happen :) In the Cardiovascular Unit, I had patients fresh out of surgery! Most of them had some pretty intesting scars! One lady in particular had a stapled scar that started at her ankle and ended a few inces below her belly button! It looked sooooooo painful. She was heavily medicated though...

School has been pretty good. I threw together a presentation on Monday night about hypnosis and the therapeutic effects of it. I think everyone should at least try it. I've done it a few times and it definitely helps. Sometimes alternative therapies can be more effective than medication.

On Wednesday I worked in the ER here in town. It was a pretty slow day. There are a lot of people sick with the flu! Get your flu shots and wash your hands! I carry a bottle of hand sanitizer with me at all times.

Wow I can't believe it's already November! I'm in the middle of writing an essay on medical ethics for my online English class. I have decided that I absolutely HATE online classes! Sadly enough my online Engish and online Literature class get placed on the back burner next to my nursing classes! I'm thankful that I have a job that requires me to stay up all night long so that I can finish all of those stupid assignments! :o) i'm being sarcastic lol.

Work has been pretty busy and I am completely candied out from Halloween...if I were to eat another piece I'd puke EVERYWHERE!!! It's weird because in Richfield there were kids trick o treating at 4pm.....it's sunny outside!!! It's crazy!

I'm at work right now sitting on Ebay :) I've been trying to find something to buy but can't find anything! What is wrong with me! LOL! I'm afraid to spend money...it's rediculous! I've been like this since I was a little girl! I might as well be jewish!....jk jk.

I want some Ugg boots! So I've been looking online for them. I think I might just get them in the mall...that means I'll need to take another trip up north...and eat sushi ;) yumm!

Yesterday I got my hair done! I had virgin hair (never been colored ever!) and I darkened it and added highlights. It looks so cute! I was really scared right before the foil came off, but I am in love with it! I was ready for a change!

Today has been a busy day! I got a text from a coworker asking if I could work her graveyard shift tonight because she was really sick. Even though that is the last thing I felt like doing tonight, I know that one day I'll be really sick and will want someone to take my shift! So...ya what goes around come around! I'm going to be really tired tomorrow for class, but hopefully I'll be able to survive!

I'm so gross...I bought 5 20oz sodas for tonight. I'm going to be so hyped up on caffine! My heart will probably stop! The cardiologist told me not to drink caffine but ya...I can't stay up the entire night without it! My new found love is Diet Dr. Pepper with Cherry! Yummm!!!

Graveyards are crazy...I never understood how much they mess you up until this semester when I started working them! The weekend flies by because I sleep the whole day it seems and then party it up by myself all night! My job actually isn't too bad. I work at Monroe Canyon Assisted Living. It's so nice here and I love all the residents! Usually I run around passing meds and helping people get ready for bed etc...I have a lot of time to work on homework though, and you would think it would be easy to get a lot done but...no! Haha! I end up either writing on this blog, shopping on ebay....or watching tv. There have been a few times that I've almost fallen asleep! Luckily Jeremy and all his friends are working and can text me throughout the night to wake me up! Lol. I'm kidding...I really do stay awake the whole time :)

Nursing School

School has been pretty tough so far. It feels endless but knowing that it'll be Christmas break in 2 months is comforting. I am ready to get out of this state for a few weeks. I've had to learn to balance myself...school/work/social life etc...

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning out my car and helping Jeremy move out of his apartment...then we both headed off to work...graveyards are hard when you haven't had a chance to take a nap! Moving is hard too!!!! but I can't wait to move in April!!!!!!

Gossiping is so stupid! Seriously. It always come back to the person...ALWAYS! This small town makes it easier for that to happen too. Even worse than gossiping...I HATE liars! I hate people who lie to make a story sound more appealing and make themselves look better or important! I'm so tired of all the hypocrites that live here. Not only does it put a horrible name out there for the LDS church but also makes people look incredibly stupid....ya I can't wait to move out of this "hell hole".

I can't believe that it's already October 17th. It still feels like September! Surprisingly it is hot outside...so it feels like summer! We're going to get slammed this year with snow. I am definitely not looking forward to that! Shoveling snow at 4:30am before going to clinicals doesn't sound appealing to me at all! Even though I complain about the weather I still secretly love all the seasons! It's funny going home to California for Chirstmas. I leave the snow and spend the holidays in warm weather. Actually right this very second I'm listening to Christmas music on pandora.com. Somehow it is a comfort that all this stress will eventually end!!!

Finally October is here!!! It seems like the weeks creep along at the slowest pace EVER! School is still intense but hospital life is amazing :) I love clinicals! This past week I was in the OR which was fun! I like surgery! I would love to have surgery...ask megan haha. I'm just a weirdo...when I was sick and in the hospital with pneumonia in 6th grade, I had the time of my life in hospital! I pretended to be sicker than I was towards the end so I could stay longer :) It was a good week! (This is actually when I decided to become a nurse!) Anyways.....I love nursing school and can't wait to be an RN!!

My dad is in Utah right now visiting me and Meggie! I get to see him on Sunday :)

Fall Semester

I've been in school for about a month! 7 more months until I'm an RN! I'm definitely counting down the days! School has been pretty intense so far, but the clinical hospital experience we get everyweek keeps me going! I love it!

I'm still living in Richfield and still hate it, of course! It's too small! Everyone knows everyone and I just hate that! I'm looking forward to city life after this!

I currently am working nights in Monroe at an assissted living place. It's hard trying to stay awake! I have lots of "staying awake" aids...like food :)

I haven't been doing much of anything lately other than working and trying to get into shape. After a long jog nothing sounds better than candy! Haha this is why I never look any different! Right now I'm sitting in the library...attempting to study for the NCLEX but I'm failing miserably! Writing on blogs and sitting on facebook is wayyy more fun than going through flashcards!

I leave for Nashville, TN on the 23rd. I'm going down there for a practical nursing skills national competition. The school is paying my way! So it'll be a fun trip! :)

With only 4 more days left in the semester, you would think I would be super motivated and attentive in class...but no! Even the teacher's minds are elsewhere! My parents are driving up to Richfield on Thursday for my pinning ceremony on Friday. It will be nice, because they can help me move my stuff! I will be living with an elderly lady this summer! It will be nice to get out of these apartments...and have free rent!

I was looking in my closet last night and came to the realization that I have SO many scentsy smells! I have like 12! My room will never smell bad! For all of you who aren't familiar with scentsy, it is a wickless candle! Google it!

This was a pointless and random post...just letting me postpone homework even longer! :)

I'm sitting in class right now...writing on my blog. It seems like I have NO motivation to finish these last few weeks of school. For example...I have a psychology test tonight that I haven't started studying for ha! I'm looking forward to the 4 month break from class. This morning I woke up at 6:15am this morning to go tanning and then headed to the pool to swim for a half hour. It is a great start to a busy day. Hopefully today I will be able to concentrate for a few hours to study for my test!

It is SO beautiful outside! :)

It has been a while since I updated my life online for everyone to see :)

My nursing clinicals are finally over. I LOVED them! Now I'm back in class and it's really hard to sit in class for 6 hours! I text the majority of the time to stay awake ha! School is almost over though...3 more weeks!

Exciting news today...I got accepted into the RN program! So I'm back for another year and will be a registered nurse a year from now! I'm really excited and love nursing school! I hope to get a job at Primary Children's Hospital as an RN!

It is just starting to get warm here :) I'm sure there will be another storm sometime soon, because Utah is super cool like that ugh! I'm trying to swim more now that I'm done with clinicals and am in Richfield more. I gained a little weight being in the hospitals with access to cookies and crackers (that are specifically for the patients).

Week 2

Tomorrow I start round 2 of clinicals at Mountain View Hospital. I felt like a zombie the whole weekend and for a change I actually turned on the tv and watched a movie (for all those who don't know, I hate watching movies). I'm exhausted thinking about waking up early and driving in the freezing cold to the hospital! Time actually goes by pretty fast but it does make for a long week, only because by the time you get out of the hospital you don't feel like doing anything but sleeping.

I'm really tired and am going to bed soon.

Clinicals!

I've started clinicals and have been at Mountain View Hospital. I've learned so much this week and loved every second of it! The first day I worked in the Nursery and got to hold and do assessments on infants that were only a few hours old. It was amazing. I also worked with laboring and postpartum mothers. The highlight of the week was seeing a mother give birth to a beautiful baby boy. It was the most incredible feeling. I love nursing! Cheryl and Brandon were sooo nice for letting me stay with them this week as I leave their house early and come home late!

I have also spent time in Provo with friends! It's been so nice being out of school. I have to start concentrating on writing papers and studying for entrance exams that I have to take in March for the RN program.

School has been really hectic lately. We're preparing for hospital clinicals which start in a week and a half. I'm excited to finally get out of the classroom! I go to Payson Hospital first for labor & delivery and pediatrics. I was born in that hospital 21 years ago :)

It's been really nice weather so far. Today it was sunny, and it has only snowed once since I've been back!

Greys Anatomy has been good :) I haven't made time for Biggest Loser but I will definitely be watching it after this coming week is over!

Presidential Inauguration is TUESDAY!!!!! :) :) I like Obama and am excited for him to lead our country!

I can't believe I forgot my camera in Utah! I saw Michael Phelps on Sunday at the Kings Game! We went to a conference question/answer session with him! I was really hoping that he would take his shirt off...but unfortunately he didn't haha :) The game was fun! We got killed by the Celtics but it's okay.

Tomorrow I'm going to San Francisco! Haha I guess I haven't shopped enough! I'm meeting a friend from BYU...and Megan and her friend Nicole are going off by themselves. It should be a fun chilly day :)

Christmas!

This past week as been fun :) I've gone shopping every single day and will soooon run out of money! My Dad isn't too happy about that ;-) It feels like I know the Galleria, Sunrise, and Arden Fair Malls inside and out! Megan and I discovered a cute little shop in downtown Sacramento that sells silver jewelry! Last night Megan bought a mermaid ring! I bought a necklace! That store is dangerous for me because I would literally buy every single ring (except the skull ones) if I could! It is a neat little store!

Believe it or not I've actually spent a lot of time just laying in bed doing nothing! It's so nice not being in school right now, but I'm starting to mentally prepare myself to return! :-/

Tomorrow I'm going to a Kings game and Michael Phelps is going to give a motivational speech! :) I'm excited! He's amazing!

I've been home for almost a week now and am DREADING the drive back to hell! It has been so nice sleeping in my own bed, eating my mom's amazing food, seeing my crazy cali friends and spending time with my perfect family :) Being home is so perfect. I worry about the summer and wonder if I'll ever be back home as a resident rather than a guest. I gotta grow up! Haha.

This morning I went to 24 Hr Fitness with my parents while my brother was at swim practice. I guess I lifted too much because right now EVERY single muscle in my body is aching! Haha the other day I was helping my mom cover toffee and the next morning I was sore...so sad! Nursing school got me SO out of shape!

Last night I had a dream that I forgot something in Folsom, so I was going to drive home the weekend before finals to get it and drive back in time for all the tests. It was awful! I was obviously stressed the whole night and woke up thinking and feeling like I had forgotten to do something!

Today my sister Megan flys home from BYU. It has been weird being home without her. My first 2 years of college she was still in high school and last year I attended BYU with her and we flew home together...

5 more days till Christmas and I don't have a single present for anyone...shoot!

So I just got home from the mall...11pm late ehh?! Eric and I went out to Olive Garden and then over to the Galleria to do some Christmas shopping! While Eric was buying people gifts I was buying things for myself haha whoops :) I also spent the day at my Grandma's house helping her set out for her annual Christmas party. By the end of the day the house looked amazing!

This morning I was having a really weird dream that I was trying to talk to someone and I couldn't keep my eyes open and kept falling asleep. I was sooo embarassed and tried to do random things like run in place and jump, but my eyes would still close. Haha the dream felt sooo weird, and REAL! Random fact about me #1: I dream every night in color and more times than not, remember what the dream was about!

It's sooo nice to not be in school right now! I have some reading to do, but I'm not even thinking about it yet! I need a full week of recovery before I start studying again :D

Today was really boring, but I didn't mind at all. I'd rather be bored sitting in a doctors office all day, than studying for tests and doing homework! I also bought a pair of running shoes and hospital clinical shoes tonight! And I bought a shirt from Old Navy for $4. Then I helped my mom make sandwiches for dinner and I'm waiting patiently on the couch for her to get my brother started on homework, so that we can watch the Biggest Loser Finale!!!! I'm so excited :) The biggest loser is one of the greatest shows ever!!

I survived my first semester of nursing school! Finals week was hell but it's over and I don't have to be back in Richfield for a few weeks! On Friday I went to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert. It was amazing and so much fun! On Saturday Mandy and I went to Gateway mall. I flew home on Sunday night to C.A.L.I.F.O.R.N.I.A! All my beautiful rings set off the metal detector...which was hilarious. Today I have to help my mom make candy (which i can't eat, because of the butter).

Thinking about a whole week of nothing but tests gives me a stomach ache...let alone 4 months of constant exams! I have some how almost made it to the end. The days have literally dragged by, but yet December is here!...and yet it feels just yesterday I was sitting in orientation scared to death! Haha, and yes instead of studying for my Nursing Fundamentals class I am wasting precious time on this blog :) I have literally been staring at computer screens for the past 4 days...will this permanently damage my eyeballs?? Haha wouldn't doubt it!

I took a final this afternoon! Imagine that! Taking a test on a Sunday in Utah! Haha! It definitely feels good to have it over! I only have 3 finals, 1 presentation, 1 paper, 3 workbook chapters, and 2 skills assessments before I'm FREEEE!! It's a lot! I know, depressing...

Right now I'm sitting on the couch staring at the christmas tree katie brought home...yet it doesn't feel like Christmas time at all! Tests take away all the fun! Dang it! Tonight was the First Presidency Christmas Devotional...and I obviously had wayyy to much to do so I couldn't watch it :( it's been the first time in yearsssss that I haven't seen it! My life is on hold until Thursday! Biggest Loser and Grey's Anatomy are even a second priority now! Imagine that!

Also, I have had an incredibly enormous amount of sugar and salt this weekend (everything nursing school has taught is BAD for your organs!). It's disgusting, I'm disgusting...oh well! I also haven't put makeup on for the past 5-6 days and only showered on 2 of those days...I look like hell, but my week of craziness is ALMOST over! Thank Heavens!

Thanksgiving!

My thanksgiving break has been amazing! Megan, Mandy and I surprised my mom by driving to Folsom for the holidays! I got a ticket in Nevada, got lost in Reno for an hour and finally pulled into my driveway at 11pm! We have slept in, ate, ran, and shopped! It has been amazing. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed and eating your mom's food :)

I have one more week of class...and one week of finals until I'm back home! Don't get me wrong, it's going to be the worst 2 weeks of my life! I'm so sick of Utah and school...I definitely need a good 3 weeks of doing absolutely NOTHING! :) :)

So instead of studying tonight I watched SwimFan. This movie was INSANE. It's a pretty good movie, and very suspenseful. I recommend it :)

Tomorrow I'm studying the whole day. I pretty much screwed. Monday is going to suck...and I need to figure out what's happening over Thanksgiving break. blah! I really want to go home...but is that the wisest decision? probably not haha but I'll see what ends up happening.

Today was pretty boring. The week seems to be dragging on and on. It's ridiculous how slow the hours go when you're looking forward to something. Today I watched a whole disk of f.r.i.e.n.d.s. and studied for a test I'm taking tomorrow morning. LAMMMMEEEE! I hate school right now :(

DISNEY ON ICE!!!!!

On Wednesday, AJ and I drove up to Salt Lake for Disney on Ice! It was amazing show! I definitely want to go again next year! My favorite part was when they told the story of Finding Nemo. They had bubbles falling from the ceiling and with the blue lights it actually looked like they were under water. They also had the remake of the "It's A Small World" ride at Disneyland which was really cool.

There were also a lot of bums sitting outside with signs...which is always fun :-/

Morning Swims!

This morning I woke up at 6 and headed to the pool. It felt so good to get back in the water. The weather change and crazy school work load kept me sleeping in until 8 for the past four weeks. I definitely felt weak and out of shape. I'm definitely trying to get myself back into shape...I think it makes school more bearable.

At BYU I remember waking up at 545am...and walking a mile to the pool, in the snow, while listening to the latest hit on itunes. Swimming made me feel sooo much better throughout the day. Some people, like my sister, hate working out in the morning, but I definitely recommend it. It not only jump starts your metabolism, but also clears your mind. You have to find a balance though, because it's also important to get the right amount of sleep...and if you've only had 3 hours of sleep, going on a morning run is only going to make you more tired! Haha! That is my problem here in Richfield! :)

Not only do we nursing students have excellent Friday potluck lunches, we also make room in our stomachs for Halloween candy, Laura's delicious chips and salsa, and soda. Last week I had fast food 6 times within a 72 hour period. Ewww!! Stress makes us do and eat crazy things ;)

Yes, I still head to Provo to visit Mandy and Megan. It's a fun break from this little crappy town with no mall! A few weeks ago me and AJ took a trip down to provo for her birthday. Provo is always a vacation :) I'm also going to Provo for Thanksgiving!

School has been HARD! The endless studying and tests are overwhelming everyone. Laura is going to make a paper chain to count the number of days left in the semester! I've been eating a lot of fast food lately along with loads candy and gallons of diet coke. So...basically my heart is rotting out of my body. Hahaha...shoot!

I have 4 weeks of hell left!! :)

Looking back on this day, I laugh at how stupid I acted. :) We first learned how to inject oranges then moved onto...OURSELVES! Omg it was really scary!! It took me about 10 minutes but I finally did it...and of course, it didn't hurt at all. I'm such an idiot sometimes ;) Then we gave eachother 4 a few shots to practice. The following monday we went to the clinic and gave flu shots :) It was really scary at first (i stuck myself with a needle) but I was able to relax :)

Huntsman Cancer Institute

I don't have very many pictures from my last provo trip...partly because I'm getting chubby and don't look good in pictures anymore. Mandy and I ate SO much! On Friday we drove up to Salt Lake to go to Body Worlds III and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. I definitely want to work there someday. It made me re-think my whole nursing career and consider becoming an Oncologist. It was a magnificent building and still gives me chills to thinking about it.

School is alright. It seems that there's a test everyother day, which is hard. It'll be worth in the long run though :)

I didn't watch BL on tuesday because the election
was on :-/ I took a test instead...which is probably a
better choice anyways...then I stayed up until 1am doing my pediatric workbook. Wednesday I studied all day for med/surg and will probably take that test today sometime. Grey's Anatomy is tonight! Watching greys was definitely more exciting last year. The build up to Thursdays were intense...this year not so much. I still love it and am obesessed, but with all the added studying, Grey's is definitely the last thing on my mind :-/.

Also...on Monday we are giving flu shots at the clinic, so today in class we are practicing. Before sticking eachother with needles, we have to give ourself a shot in the stomach. I am pretty much shaking right now. gah! I hate shots!!

Fall Break is 6 days away. Thank heavens!

This week has been crazy! The tests and projects never end! Wednesdays are so boring. I try to pay attention, but texting seems more appealing :) Today was such a weird day...because I laughed a lot for no reason at all. Stress can make me giddy too. I'm already tired of school and am looking forward to Christmas...haha only because I won't be trapped in Richfield for a whole 3 weeks!! Wooo!!!

I'm driving to Provo on Friday to spend conference weekend with Mandy! I was a crazy psycho on my last trip there and had an hourly schedule of the weekend. I can't believe I have turned into my grandpa!! I always get SOO annoyed every Christmas because my grandparents type out a 4 day schedule of the activites that are going on...by the hour. So...no more schedules. It stresses me out to much! Hahaha. I have to get through tomorrow's med/surg test and a surgery assignment and then I'm set to go!

We went to the BYU bookstore and bought a TON of candy! It was so fun and we felt so sick! And our masterpiece we brought to Alyssa's! :)

Being lactose intolerant sucks!!! That ice cream looked so good!

Dinner with Jake and Alyssa!! I felt bad though because she had to cook all dairy free. Mandy and I cooked them a goooood dessert :) :) brownikies!

We had dinner at Megan and Carleys! Then we danced and Meg showed us how to freak in a club...lol. Seriously. She's crazy, but so fun!

Provo, Utah!

Beautiful Brigham Young University

We hiked up to this castle in provo to take pictures of the beautiful Brigham Young University! It was so pretty up there! Mandy is so photogenic I freakin hate it! LOL!

I love belmont...well mainly Mandy's window view! It looks like I'm in another country. It's so weird!...Just buildings one on top of the other :) It feels like a true vacation! :)

The first night in provo I saw Alex for the first time in 2 years! Mandy, Alex, and I went out to dinner, and then hung out for a few hours. It was fun :)

1:55 am...so it's basically still Thursday to me!

I was really sad the whole day because I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to watch Grey's Anatomy because of my pharmacology test. I finished my test at 7:53 and RAN home just in time for it to start!! It was an amazing episode!!

I'm driving to Provo tomorrow to see Mandy! I'm REALLY excited to get out of here! Richfield, UT is a great place to live during the week...but weekends really SUCK!! Anyways...hopefully I can drive safely. I'm exhausted :(

This morning I was going to the library and walked passed a girl who smiled, and said, "Nice shirt!" In an abnormally loud voice I smiled and said "Thanks!"....ohhhh about 10 seconds later I realized that we had the same shirt on...and it was too late, she was already down the hall. Hahaha that's what I get for only getting 3 hours of sleep last night ;) I sorta kinda finished my NF essay this morning at 8:58am...but it is going to need some serious editing!

Today will be a HUGE cram study session for my Pharmachology test tomorrow afternoon! Then I have a nursing fundamentals test on Friday. Gah it never ends!!!! But the weekend is coming!

Also, Biggest Loser was good last night! Rocco Dispirito was a guest chef and taught the families how to cook. The grey team was eliminated...I didn't watch the whole show, but I knew that I didn't want the yellow team to go home!

Scentsy candles are AMAZING!! I bought one today! They are wickless candles that smell SO good! It took me a few days just to make up my mind on the one I wanted! I can't wait for it to come! I spend my money on the most random crap ever, but this purchase will be worth it! I want to get a snowman one someday! They would be really good gifts to give people because they're safe and smell amazing!

School is crazy hard. After this week of hell I get to p-a-r-t-y in provo! And there is 3 more days until GREYS ANATOMY!! woooo!!!

My dad drove down from Provo to come visit me! Sacrament meeting was hilarious because my dad kept whispering to me. He leaned over and said, "Jessica a boy is starring at you. I think he has the hots for you." Seriously...who says that?! He said that 2x...loudly! Then he leaned over and said that some boy looked like David Archuleta from the back. It was an interesting meeting :)

Then I wrote more of my paper while he looked for songs for me to buy him on itunes. My topic is Necrotizing Fasciitis. It is the coolest disease EVER!!! I want to post my paper after I finish it, but that is just wayyy too nerdy! ;)
I go to provo on Friday to visit M-A-N-D-Y!!! yay yay yay!!! I can't wait!! I love provo!

This weekend I have an incredible amount of homework and studying to do. I'm going to the library for a few hours to look up information about necrotizing fasciitis, and start a 5 page paper about it...then I'm studying for another med/surg test. This is absolutely crazy. If I can make it through the next 6 days I deserve an award. I have an increased respect for people in the medical field. School kicks everyone in the butt...but without it, your title (MD, BSN, DSS) after graduation isn't as big of a deal. Enjoy the journey right?.....
